Rider: The Ride Back delves into the family lineage of Wyatt “Captain America”
Williams (played in the original by Peter Fonda) and the families trials and
tribulations throughout the decades of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s to present
day. Juxt-a-posed against the families love affair with motorcycles, the film
delves into issues of love, War, honor, and redemption, while keeping true to
the spirit of the original film: the iconic “Buddy Ride” and the idea of a
continuing search for freedom in an America that is struggling to find its
identity.
Opening against the back-drop of present day Americana, the story begins with a
conflicted Morgan Williams as he journeys to make amends with his dying father
in Arizona. The black sheep of the family, Morgan's 40 year rift with his
father has been the product of his following in the footsteps of his older brother
Wyatt. Riding aboard the trademark Captain America motorcycle, a chopper which
he recovered and rebuilt after his brother's death in Louisiana, Morgan teams
up with his childhood friend Wes Coast as they embark upon an adventure that
will force them to confront the past in order to make reparations with the
present. From the conflicting battle fields of World War II and Vietnam to the
dark past that has splintered a family, Easy Rider: The Ride Back is a journey
for all ages. Every family has its secrets... Every Legend a Beginning.

1990 Camp Fear
Betsy Russell, Vince Van Patten, Michelle Bauer

mistakenly assume they are alone until a gang of menacing bikers shows up to
harass and terrorize them. As if that wasn't enough to ruin a relaxing weekend
in the country, a rampaging Druid giant is soon constructing a mock-Stonehenge
on which to commit human sacrifices and the Loch Ness Monster has abandoned his
watery home and taken to terra firma to feast on human flesh! With earthquakes,
lasers, the Lambada, this weekend getaway may be the last bash for humanity!” Blockbuster.com.

1999 Documentary Wild Ride of Outlaw Bikers "Wino" Willie Forkner was a World War II veteran who wanted a little excitement in his life. Like many other returning soldiers in California in the late 1940s, he found what he was looking for on the open road, astride a motorcycle. Willie and his comrades were immortalized by Life magazine when his riding club, the "Boozefighters," descended on the town of Hollister, California for a rally in 1947. The age of the "outlaw biker" had dawned, and 6 years later, the release of The Wild One cemented the image of the lawless motorcycle gang. A comprehensive examination of the motorcycle culture in America. From the founding of the Hell's Angels to the near-death and rebirth of Harley Davidson, this feature-length film explores the myths, misconceptions and major trends that have defined and dogged the bikers through the years. The story is told by those who lived through it and helped make it happen, including members of the Hell's Angels and Boozefighters, actor Peter Fonda, writer Ken Kesey, residents of Hollister, filmmaker Roger Corman and many more. motorbiker.org

1971 Weekend with the Babysitter Written and directed by Tom Laughlin (of Billy Jack fame) under name of Don Henderson as almost a remake of his 1969 The Babysitter again with George E. Carey. A good look back at the '70s and this time the bikers are more normal with motocross scenes. They make good point of how the bikers are always bad in film. I think this is Laughlin's best film, and with The Babysitter, and Born Losers makes a better (biker) trilogy than the Billy Jack films.

Hitchhiking, she is soon picked up by the motorbike riding Dave, and the pair
embark on a cross-country ride. These opening sequences are all shot without
any dialogue whatsoever, and it takes a good twenty minutes before either of
the characters talk. When they finally do, it’s while sharing a joint by a
campfire, before the night ends with Cynthia crawling into Dave’s sleeping
bag." somethingweird.com More boat racing than motorcycle movie,

Hell’s Bloody Devils aka Operation M.; Smashing the Crime
Syndicate (UK): Swastika Savages; The Fakers (USA) (TV title)“A
government agent tries to break a Neo-Fascist group in California” IMDb. Ok, I
felt I needed a score card for this Al Adamson film. The bike gang is
working for Neo-Nazis selling counterfeit money to the Syndicate. There are
Federal agents (Broderick Crawford), Israeli agents, double agents and even
Colonel Sanders! It finally made sense, after reading in the Big Book
of Biker Flicks, that the half hour footage of bikers was added to previous
film so could be marketed as a biker film.

“Gang of bikers try to save people in a mining disaster.” Internet Movie

their Yamahas with machine guns, grenades and armor plating, and storm the

mild. This even shows a tender side to these bikers. But according to the

with Moon, leader of "The Heads." When C.C. leaves with his cut of
the purse, the bikers kidnap Ann, and C.C. races Moon to win her freedom.” IMDb Actually one
of the best of the biker films. Almost the quality of a major motion

“Angel is the biker who
joins a commune of hippies near a small town. When the town rednecks attack
them, Angel calls up some of his bad biker buddies to exact revenge.” IMDb. I’ve
read often that the biker movie is the modern western. This film seems
fits that, plot seems like seen in a few westerns. Compared to the
townsfolk, these bikers are stand up citizens. I loved the scene with the
club president and the local sheriff.

take from Colorado to
Frisco, California. Shortly after pickup, he takes a bet to get the car there
in less than 15 hours. After a few run-ins with motorcycle cops and highway
patrol they start a chase to bring him into custody. Along the way, Kowalski is
guided by Supersoul - a blind DJ with a police radio scanner. Throw in lots of
chase scenes, gay hitchhikers, a naked woman riding a motorbike, lots of Mopar

1971 The

“A wild gang of bikers who shamelessly idolize the Nazis, brutalizes anyone or
anything that stands in their way. Dealing in illegal weapons, assassinations,
power and violence, they seem invincible until they push one man too far...
When his girlfriend is savagely murdered, he declares a personal war...but to
destroy them, he has to join them!” IMDb.com Starts with bunch of brown shirts on cycles (only
one Harley, a bagger) robbing bank, taking female teller raping and kill
her. Not your usual biker gang. Even has a love-in with preaching
Messiah the Nazi biker try to break up. This gets some regular bikers,
the “Satans”, to fight them in that one scene.

July 4 The Great Escape Steve McQueen IMDb
It may be a stretch to consider this great war film a “biker movie” but is
included as has the great Steve McQueen motorcycle escape scene by stunt rider
Bud Ekins.
I remember as kid this movie airing yearly and sure that might have influenced
many others too. I see a recent DVD release now has cover with Steve McQueen on
the bike.

Eaters “The clock strikes five on a Friday afternoon, and a gang of
part-time bohemians hop aboard their motorcycles and hit the highway looking

in a motorcycle search, while they do ride a lot in the movie, it is not a
biker film but a drug film. Seems the freedom of a bike leads to drugs
and sex. The group doesn’t do anything gang like except for robbing a
cager, and wearing red shirts. And those are off a lot during the
film. The girls are mostly topless so almost seems to be soft porn –
fitting DVD is on Something Weird Video label.
1967 The Hellcats
aka Biker Babes Ross Hagan
“A cop goes undercover to avenge the death of his undercover cop brother in a
drug-dealing gang, who evidently use more than they sell, and yet is still

featured and released on DVD as part the Mystery Science Theatre 2000.

one on DVD.

John Cassavetes
“An exiled band of Hell's Angels strike a bargain with the Sheriff of a local
town, let them stay and the town is safe. But a local girl strays into their
lair and sparks off a full scale Angel war.” IMDb.com First
there are no Hell's Angels, they are the Skulls so as often a bad summary. Does
have a common plot, the beat music and slang. The leader, John Cassavetes, is
one of the not so bad guys, trying to find his way. At end he leaves the gang
as they rampage the town.

1967 Shanty Tramp
"A sleazy evangelist puts the move on a small town shanty tramp.
Shes teases the leader of biker gang and rejects him when won't pay. She then
makes a move on a local black kid, which later gets him killed after her
drunken pappy walks in on them (she crys rape!). The confrontation between her
and her pappy (after he learns it wasn't really rape) is unforgettable. She
soon goes crawling back to the sleazy evangelist. Kind of an R-rated sleazy
cross between Elmer Gantry and To Kill a Mockingbird. "

1968 Crazy Baby
Youthful rebellion, European-style with music and motorcycles as the rockers
battle the mods. Ricky Shayne is a sullen rock singer (from Liverpool, of
course) who gets blamed for the death of a sexy groupie (she was actually stabbed
by a biker rival). He flees to Italy where he meets up with various heathens,
whores and hustlers.

1968 Apr Savages
From Hell aka Big Enough and Old Enough
“When the leader of a vicious motorcycle gang finds a farm worker's son
flirting with his woman, he beats the boy senseless, then kidnaps the farm
worker's daughter.” IMDb
HIt is the biker that has the hots for the daughter cuses the conflict with
son. Has migrant workers, beach parties, and swamp buggy races from Naples.
Thought had that Florida look. Lists the "Outlaws MC" in credits but
no patchs spotted. Actually not a bad plot regardless of the hokness. Something
Weird DVD includes a 1960s Cypress Gardens documentary "the Greatest Show

1968 May The
Savage Seven Robert Walker Jr., Adam Roarke
“Mad bikers storm through an Indian reservation just to have a good ol' time.” IMDb.
"This violent motorcycle gang drama finds the outlaws riding onto an
Indian reservation to take over. A rival gang has other ideas. There are few likeable
characters in this feature, the possible exception being Johnnie (Walker), and
he is a convicted thief. Rock-guitar legend Duane Eddy plays off the seven,
while Penny Marshall makes an early big screen appearance. a modern-day cowboys
and Indians tale, only instead of horses, the outlaws ride motorcycles." allmovie.com.
1968 May The
Mini-Skirt Mob Ross Hagan, Harry Dean Stanton
“Driven by jealousy, the jilted leader of a female motorcycle gang instigates a
sadistic reign of terror against her ex-lover and his new bride” IMDb. Can’t
believe this is in the Big Book of Biker Flicks. Guess it was the
being terrorized by people on bikes. Rodeo cowboys and mini-skirt “go-go
girls” on Triumphs and Hondas, not true bikers - so much for “you meet the
nicest people on a Honda” slogan .
1968 May She-Devils
on Wheels
“An all-female motorcycle gang, called 'The Maneaters' hold motorcycle
races, as well as terrorize the residents of a small Florida town, and clash
off against an all-male rival gang of hot-riders.” IMDb. This is
so hokey you have to love it as the girls race to pick their studs. Has a big
hot mama biker.

“A destructive ex-motorcycle gang leader comes home from Vietnam to resume his
life. His desire to form a powerful gang has the police running scared. But,

Not bad of a movie. The police as almost as bad as the bikers. Does have Bud
Atlkins (did the famous Great Escape jump among other films) doing some
stunts as a biker they chase.

“Angel, … exposing the inner workings of his gang, the magazine will pay him
$10,000. Angel takes the offer, although it means he and his girlfriend must
now go on the run from cyclists looking for revenge.” IMDb. Biker tries
to go straight. Mild biker action, only two rapes and one dead
biker. Good change of pace from the normal formula. This was
William Smith’s first film in long run of biker films.
1969 May The

Sadists reissued as Nightmare Bloodbath Russ
Tamblyn, Robert Dix “The "Satans" are a very cruel biker gang led by
Anchor. The gang goes to a diner in the middle of nowhere in the California
desert where they begin to terrorize ...” IMDb. For a
movie shot in ten days, this Al Adamson classic has fairly good production,
good opening credits, and decent acting. I can see why some call it the Citizen
Kane of Biker Movies (but then I never thought Citizen Kane deserved
to be the number one AFI film). It is a mild gore with body count at 15.

1969 Aug Wild

A motorcycle gang fights a group of dune buggy enthusiasts for the right to

raped, they retaliate and catch the bikers off guard during a drunken orgy.
